French Beans and Bacon


French Beans and Bacon

2 lbs. French Beans (1 bag) Costco
½ to 1 lb. Low sodium Bacon Costco
1 ½ Tbs. Low sodium Better than Bullion Chicken Broth Costco
1 Large Sweet onion Costco
1 Tbs. Bacon grease
½ cup water

Using kitchen scissors, remove the ends of the beans (optional) and cut beans in half.  Steam beans for approximately 17 minutes…until tender.
Set aside.

Cook bacon in large pan. Place cooked bacon on paper towels to drain.
Set aside.

Chop onion into pieces about the size of a pea.  Place chopped onion, water, chicken broth, and bacon grease in the pan that the bacon was cooked in.
Cover and cook until tender approximately 10 minutes.

When the onions are done, add the string beans and bacon (crumbled or cut into small pieces with the scissors). Toss...and you got it…!
